A few words about Stand-Alone DSL
Due to changes in the rules of how DSL is provisioned by the
telephone companies, customers are no longer required to have DSL installed on
an existing telephone line. Instead you can request Stand-Alone or Naked DSL,
and not worry about having to install filters or paying for a land line that
you may not use -- seeing as lots of people now use their cell phones more than
their land lines, this is the perfect choice if you want to eventually get rid
of your land line but still have DSL service!
With Stand-Alone DSL, a Dedicated DSL line will be installed at your location
-- and there is no additional monthly costs! You pay the standard DSL
Monthly Service rate! This could save you hundreds of dollar per year!
Although DSL does not require filters or splitters, there is occasionally the
need for some Internal Wiring work. Many handy customers are able to
complete this work themselves with relative ease. If you are not
confident that you will be able to perform this type of work, NET1Plus can
recommend companies that will perform the work for you.
In order to qualify your location for DSL please complete the
following form completely and accurately. Our provisioning team will do the
necessary prequalification work and contact you. Requests submitted during
normal business hours are usually processed and responded to within several
hours. Submissions made after hours, or on weekends or holidays will be
researched during our next regular business day. Please allow at least 24
to 36 Hours for a response.
