Secure Connectivity via Secure Sockets Layer/HTTPS
- Public Connections to the Exchange servers is restricted to HTTPS.
This ensures that all data to and from your Outlook or Mobile Device is sent in
encrypted form, safe from prying eyes. Also, all management of the
infrastructure by our support staff is done over a separate private VPN
ensuring that no element of communications is ever compromised.
Physical Security - All servers,
firewalls and routers are housed in our own privately owned Data
Center. Physical security is handled by secure card-key access to
facilities, requirement of personal photo ID as well as lock and key access to
server racks. In addition, the premises are controlled by a
sophisticated on-site security infrastructure consisting of 24
Hour surveillance cameras with digital recording and electronic
tracking systems to ensure the highest level of physical security to the
network.
Secure Administration Control Panel Access - Our
Hosted Exchange Control Panel is based on the Unify Service Provider
Provisioning Platform developed by Ensim Corporation. This platform
functions as a front-end to the Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory
infrastructure thereby protecting the back-end servers from unauthorized
access. On the front-end the control panel provides for the
secure provisioning of customer mailboxes. It allows for secure
creation of organizational units, mailboxes and security policies for
each organization's information databases. This means that
customers only have permission to objects inside of their organizational unit
and that they are automatically protected from unauthorized access from users
outside of their organization. The control panel is also HTTPS enabled
ensuring that no passwords or usernames are ever transmitted across the
Internet in clear text.
